Who do you prefer, a Lincoln Chaffee, who fought to redirect the Republicans towards fiscal responsibility, prudent environmental policies, and a humble foreign policy, or a Joe Lieberman? Sure Joe caucuses with the Democrats, but I think he's wrong with regard to personal liberties and foreign policy. It's not the party, it's the policies, and the person who has proclaimed that idea most vigorously is Obama. That's why he is uniquely situation to have the mandate that Bush never had, and address the real challenges that we face.
